My name is Gulal Salil. I am a part-time journalist, budding cultural anthropologist, visual communications designer, comic maker, and graphic artist. I narrate stories, report data, and communicate ideas using words and pictures.

The tradition of politics that I belong to is open-source, queer, commons-oriented & anti-caste in its principles. I grew up in a qaum that taught me feminist-marxist (bell hooks style) values from the ground up—around people who strived to act against oppression, actively seek beauty, and create knowledge with empathy.

Lal Poster is my moniker for a community of people that live inside me as anecdotes, stories and memories, and I, in theirs.
